There was a great time had by everyone that attended our Annual FTC Church Picnic at Belle Isle!
Of course there was BBQ! Of course there was potato salad and mac and cheese! Of course there were awesome desserts! But this year there was even a "best" bannana puddin contest! (Mmmmm)
Games for the kids, (sack races, egg toss) and the adults, (horseshoes and tug o' war).

The FTC Annual Community Picnic will be Sat. July 18, 2009 beginning @ 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Games for the kids, Free Food, Free Clothing, Free Health & Dental Screenings.

This year we're adding something new; a 3 Day Outdoor Tent Revival leading up to the Community Picnic on the same site. So beginning Wed. July 15, until Sat. July 18, come out and experience what God is doing for our community and neighbors through Faith Tabernacle Church.

                                                       
                                                   

We just had our annual Family and Friends Day at FTC, and it was a great time for everyone that showed up. This year there was a little twist with "Grillin' at the Tab", where we had BBQ outside after a dress down day in service. Horse shoes, basketball and music with great fellowship...that's what's up!

FTC and Retooling Incarcerated Youth Ministries partnered up to host a cookout and fellowship at Don Bosco Hall for the young men at the facility. A great time was had by everyone present. There were great testimonies and gifts and talents shared, including some vocal stylings by Bro. Nelson, and Bro. Curt, two Don Bosco residents. To see all of the pics, Click Here!

               

FTC along with R.I.Y. (Retooling Incarcerated Youth), have seen an awesome move of God in our partnering to reach at risk young men and introduce them to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through our
weekly bible studies and Sunday services at Don Bosco Boys Home, young men have salvation, hope, and a new outlook on life and themselves. Thursday, April 30th, 2009, we will all be sharing in an outdoor picnic / fellowship with food, music, and skits from the FTC Creative Worship Ministry.

    

The FTC 1st Family Committee hosted a skating party recently that proved that there is fun to be had
in a great ministry. Nachos, pizza slices, a gospel DJ, video games for the kids, family and fellowship,
it was all there. And by all of the smiles you'll see on the faces in the pics, we gotta do it again!

The Founders Celebration held at Faith Tabernacle honoring our beloved Evang. Nicholas Dunford
was a huge success and an annointed event. Young people came from as far as Colorado with an earnest desire to praise and worship God unashamedly before their peers, just like "The Bishop" would have wanted it. Click Here to see all the pics from that night.

Faith Tabernacle Church is proud of the FTC Men's Ministry, "Men Of Faith". Their heart for discipleship,
service and community committment is a shining example of what men of God should demonstrate.
Now, on every 5th Sunday, the "Men Of Faith" lead praise and worship, and bring awesome music ministry before the congregation. God is increasing our numbers of men with a heart for God!

The "I Can't" mentality of everyone in attendance is gone. Pastor V. R. Thomas, Sr. eulogized and said
"goodbye" to that ever present, self-defeating, self-incriminating, attitude of saying "I Can't".
He delivered a great sermon on "I Can't Is Dead!" Was it a little shocking? Yes. Was it a little controversial? Maybe. Was it necessary? Absolutely! When it comes to advancing the Kingdom of God,
everything will and should be, "I Can!" Winning souls, "I Can!" Praying for those that curse you, "I Can!"
